          Petrit Imami - Zbog potrebe za prevodiocima s albanskog jezika, njegova porodica se s Kosova već u novembru te godine preselila u Beograd.

          Otac Sitki Imami, rodom iz Đakovice, radio je kao prevodilac u emisijama na albanskom jeziku u Programu za inostranstvo Radio-Beograda. Pripadao je prvoj generaciji albanskih književnika na Kosovu koja je stekla mogućnost da piše i objavljuje na maternjem jeziku.

          Petrit Imami se školovao u Beogradu.

          Diplomirao je dramaturgiju na Akademiji za pozorište, film, radio i TV (danas Fakultet dramskih umetnosti). Radio je kao dramaturg na Televiziji Priština ih godina prošlog veka.
